Frequently asked questions.

What does a Divorce Coach do?

A divorce coach provides guidance and support throughout your healing journey, this could be at the early stages of separation, during the divorce process itself, or even years after. As a divorce coach, I will help you navigate the emotional, logistical, and practical aspects, using a variety of proven tools & techniques to help you move forward positively, and find your sparkle again.

How is a divorce coach different from a therapist?

Whilst therapists focus on the emotional healing and psychological aspects. A divorce coach will concentrate on practical strategies, goal setting and moving forward effectively during and after the divorce process.

Why should I consider using a divorce coach?

A divorce coach provides tailored support, offering guidance in areas such as managing emotions, co-parenting strategies, rebuilding your life after a separation/divorce and help with navigating the legal process.

Why should I choose you as my divorce coach?

I am an accredited breakup & divorce coach, trained by Sara Davison. I have been where you are. I separated from my ex-husband and I was left with 2 young children trying to navigate my emotions and be a good parent for my children, whilst trying to build a new future for us. I represented myself during my own divorce, I am also a qualified Solicitor, therefore I am familiar with the legal process. Although I will not be providing any legal advice.

Can a divorce coach help with the legal aspects of a divorce?

Whilst divorce coaches do not provide legal advice, they can help you understand and prepare for legal proceedings, offering you support in navigating the emotional aspects surrounding legal processes.

Why should I work with a divorce coach, when I am already paying for a Solicitor?

Have you sat in a solicitor’s office and cried? If so, what happened thereafter? A Solicitor will surely help you with the legal aspects of your divorce. However, they will not be able to help you with the emotions that follow from your separation/divorce.

Once you start working with me, I will help you to gain clarity and move forward effectively. This in turn will help you make better more informed decisions about your future (and for your children). Therefore, a divorce coach and a Solicitor would work alongside one another.

How can a divorce coach help with children involved?

A divorce coach assists in developing effective co-parenting strategies, addressing children’s emotional needs and providing guidance on creating a healthy environment during and after the separation/divorce.

How many sessions will I need?

It is different for everyone, some people need a few to get them started, then as and when required. Or you may wish to have regular sessions fortnightly, or monthly. I find regular session works better for a lot of my clients to ensure that you get the most out of the sessions. It ultimately depends upon you and your needs. There are no obligations from my side, I will be led by you.

How are the sessions conducted?

All sessions are via Microsoft Teams/Zoom, and my availability is flexible (into the evenings).
